It’s really great that Linda and Sheila found something so nice to do that was wheelchair accessible. Hope you guys have a wonderful few days.

FWIW - When we were in Oregon the attendant told me it was legal to pump your own diesel which I did without anyone getting upset. Supposedly there is a specific diesel exception for both commercial and private road use.

Yes Bill,
The law only restricts consumers from pumping their own "Class 1 flammable liquids". Since diesel isn't a "Class 1" flammable, it doesn't fall under the law; however, you have to back into that as the law doesn't specifically state that "diesel" is exempt. There is no "diesel exemption" that I can find. Some attendants are aware of this and some are not AND I have read a couple of articles where the stations themselves can determine whether their diesel has to be pumped by an attendant.

Of course, with the Class C gas motorhome, the "diesel exception" doesn't help us any longer. :)

So, you neglected to finish the story. Did you partake? 8^)

JC,
Not me. Not opposed to it for others, but it's not my thing, never has been, and I don't expect that to change.
