« My Take On Family Motor Coach Association Allowing Towable RV Owners | Main | Cold But Successful Weekend In Minneapolis »

Safe travels you two.

We too were in eastern Tenn. in mid September when the stink bugs invaded our Motorhome over 3 days. Here it is, mid Feb and we are still catching and flushing 4-6 a day. I was told that it will take 6-8 months to get rid of them. Why hasn't someone come up with a solution to rid the rig of them? Or mentioned how to avoid them? I guess one option is never going to Tenn. or other north eastern and mid Atlantic states where they are a known entity in the fall. Let's see, 150 days times 3-6 bugs is way too many bugs. Of course they don't move when it's cold outside, and then we came to Florida for the winter. If the weather is above 50 we get our 2-6 daily visitors.

Also like your write up on FMCA.

PS the cats won't chase them, they just sit back and watch us do that!

not sure if you read comments, but the most successful way we found to deal with our stink bug influx was. . .

an inch of water and couple drops dish soap in a water bottle. . .hold the bottle over them. ..they will fall in. . .put the lid on, and start your collection.

I have not been keeping up on the blog and I wish I had known you were in Surprise, AZ. We sold our 5th wheel and returned to our roots by purchasing a living quarters horse trailer! We emptied the horse area of all dividers and use that space for a Honda side by side. When the buggy is unloaded the rear becomes a massive storage and dog space! The gooseneck trailer pulls like a dream and is so nimble compared to our "big"trailer. Will send pics if you are curious. Best thing we ever did!
