We're getting closer to being back in our rig. August 1 is the day!
Our new house in The Villages is ready to rent after a couple of weeks of upgrading some furniture, painting, and re-decorating. We signed with our property manager last Wednesday and they have it listed here: The Villages Homes For Rent - Updated Patio Villa with Golf Cart.
And just because I can't help myself, I did my own little website with my own photos. Villages Villa.
It was a nice little villa when we bought it, and some of the furniture and decor was usable. But we decided the living area and master bedroom furniture needed to be upgraded, and some updating was needed throughout. Linda picked out the furniture with a little input from me, and she managed the interior design, picking out paint colors, artwork and accessories. She also pulled out the vines in the front of the house, making it look cleaner. And, if that wasn't enough, she became our handyman after the handyman we hired turned out to be too slow for our needs. She
Just for fun, here are some before (left) and after (right) photos. You can click on the photos to see larger versions.
Front view after Linda took out the vines, and we removed the annoying, ugly sliding screens from the garage door.
And since the "after" photo above on the right, we've added some flowers.
This is the view from the front door.
The changes in the dining area and the kitchen are subtle.
But the laundry area, ....
living room, ....
and bedroom changes are quite a bit more dramatic.
We've gotten an amazing amount accomplished this month, and we hope to get an annual tenant soon.
Now we're ready to go pick up our fifth wheel and hang out in Tennessee for the next couple of months, and we can re-focus on our RV life.
Thanks for your patience as we've spent a good portion of the last four months concentrating on life outside of RVing. It's been interesting to say the least. :)
It looks wonderful. You guys have done a great job. We miss you both but never seem to get close enough to visit. Glad you are getting back into your RV. Wishing you all the best and sending big cyber hugs.

Long time reader here! We were full timers for about six years. Actually, we passed you about five years ago in Oregon! We ended up buying a home in The Villages almost four years ago! We LOVE it here. We are in the southern end, near Brownwood and Eisenhower Rec. Center. There is no other place like The Villages! Your villa looks great. You should not have any problem renting it. If you are ever around our area, get in touch! Safe travels,
Louise R.

Wonderful color choices - it looks so peaceful. I'm sure it will rent quickly. Has to feel great to have it behind you.

Your new place looks great! On the actual ad in the link I do see one typo that you could tell them to fix. It says "volume ceilings" which I assume should be "vaulted ceilings". Comes from my old real estate advertising days in my past life LOL!
