We also did a rare one night stop in a PA park last night, but had a much better experience. Sorry you had to pay that price for a lousy spot, but at least you get to move on quickly! We figure those occasional places make us appreciate the other ones even more :-))) I think the idea of a bootcamp is a great idea.

We've stayed overnight at Cunningham's a couple of times in our earlier days of RVing, but haven't been back in a couple of years. Don't think we'll ever go back for some of the same reasons as you stated. Lately, we've become quite fond of our overnight stops at Walmart, Cracker Barrel or Flying J instead of spending money to stay just one night with hookups we don't really need. Just have to be a little more cautious where we pick, but we're learning! Hugs and best wishes!

I am going to write a book called "Stupid is stealing your cheese".
It will be about the increasing stupidity of people around us and how their stupidity impinges on our lives. Yours is a good example. Had your RV caught fire as the result of a stupid person. With the current trumpster politics I think it would be a best seller.

When you are back in the area you might like Palmetto Cove RV Park. It's on Table Rock Rd and sits directly below Ceasars Head State Park. The cove has some trails and access to a mountain River. The last time we were there the Internet was good and we had Verizon service. The campground is 30 miles from Greeneville SC and 55 miles from Asheville NC. I think the rate is $25 a night. It's a beautiful park.
