Sure feel for you...mom (85) just had breast cancer operation, thank goodness it was the best kind of breast cancer and was 100% removed...then the following week dad has a bladder exam and they want to biopsy it because of red spots. Hope all works out with your dad and with your travels. --Dave (GoingRvWay.com)

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's cancer. At his age standard treatments can be harder on him than doing nothing. Maybe read up on "essiac". It's something that was effective over a 100 years ago and modern medicine has been trying to discredit it ever since. I'm hoping for a good outcome for your Dad.

So sorry to hear this, Howard! We're keeping Sterling in our prayers, and you, too!

Cancer is no fun in any part of life or any age. Our hearts are with you and your dad.

Howard, our hearts go out to you, Linda, and your dad. I just wanted to let you know we are thinking about and praying for you all. God bless!

You are correct this part of life is absolutely horrid. Prayers for your family.

Our heart goes out to you and your family. Such a hard time in all of our lives that we have to go through. Peace, prayers and love are with you from us.

About "Essiac", I just looked it up in Wikipedia...scary stuff.

It definitely is hard to have to face this again in less than a year. I am sure your Dad will face this with a positive attitude as Jimmie Carter has done. Your Dad, you and Linda will be in my prayers.

We are sorry to hear this concerning news!! So glad you will be with your Dad when he meets with the oncologist. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Thinking of you, your dad and Linda:)

Keeping you in my prayers.

Tina

Praying for you all!

So sorry to have read about your Dad. We are sending positive thoughts yours and his ways

Keeping you all in our prayers.

Sending our prayers!

Praying for you, Linda and your dad. Been through this with both my parents in their 90's. You and your dad will make the right decision for him. Hugs to all of you.

Was so hoping the bad news wasn't about Dad. Hope comforting news comes from the checkups. Hugs for all three of you.

Aw Howard, so sorry to hear this news.. Praying things go well..

Don't know what to say, except this. When I was being treated for lymphoma in 1999 I attended a weekly support group meeting at the hospital. My oncologist was the guest at one such meeting and he was asked why he chose to get into the field of oncology. His reply was "Because this is one field where you really have a chance to cure people." Here in 2015 I am still cancer-free. The sad part is that I had been a regular blood platelet donor and signed up for the bone marrow donor registry. I came up as a match for another cancer patient, but by then my own cancer had been diagnosed so Red Cross couldn't use me anymore. Prayers are coming your way.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sending positive thoughts your way!!

I'm so sorry you have to face another medical challenge with your Dad. I just lost my Mom at age 96 and we had multiple episodes that put us in crisis mode over the past several years.
I'll be praying that you get he answers you need to make an informed decision about treatment options. I would opt for whatever will keep your Dad comfortable and at home for as long as possible. At his age a long term cure isn't a goal, but making sure he doesn't suffer needlessly is.
You have a ton of support out there so just ask if you need anything.

Thoughts and prayers for you.
