Glad Dad is getting good care and you are able to be there to assess the situation. Too many Pork Rinds...kinda makes us smile;o)) Hope he is out of there ASAP and back to the garden and yard!!!

I hope you are right. We are thinking about all of you. Here is hoping that all will be well.

Joe Sherri and Kris

Ugh, parents, can't live with them and can't live without them. You are a good son! :-)

Howard, I had to laugh at the pork rinds. As an RN who worked in the Heart Failure program at our hospital and with 25 cardiologists, this was a common occurrence. Ham at the Sunday buffet after church seemed to be the problem.

We also had some patients(usually men) whose wives had them on such a strict sodium diet that their sodium level was dangerously low. Try telling the wife to give him some ham. :-)

Glad your dad is better. Give him a hug from us.

Glad to hear your dad is stabilized and going to be okay. As luck would have, it you were nearby and able to get there quickly to comfort him.

The voice of experience tells you that you will never regret the time and effort spent doing things for your Dad. God be with all of you.

Naturally you went early, it's one of the main reasons you're still on that side of the country - and how nice to be less than a day away when needed. Mom had periodic CHF as well although we could never track down a trigger. I should have checked under the bed for pork rinds (she loved them too)!
Hang in there tomorrow, the first one is always the toughest :-)

Prayers for a speedy recovery for your dad. And continued safe travels for you guys.
