Check out the posts at technomadia.com Verizon has had a hiccup with Millenicom and started throttling some users. Easy fix with a call to Millenicom. Should be the same speeds.

Howard open a ticket with Millenicom they have had some issues with Verizon throttling accounts when they should not be

We had the Novatel Jetpack (Verizon via Millenicom) and it got slower and slower and less and less reliable. Finally we bit the bullet and switched to a Pantech Mifi (also Verizon via Millenicom) and the difference is night and day!!! The Millenicom plan is so much better than the direct Verizon plan that the $124 cost to do this upgrade was well worth it. I'd give this a try before you ditch Millenicom.

Well ALRIGHTY:o))) We are signed up and ready to party!!! Love your new blog photo...you just keep looking healtier and healthier;o)

The options and advances over just the last 14 months for cell/internet have been crazy! Every time we think we know which way we want to go, something potentially better comes along. We've finally decided to wait until 60 days before launch to make the choice. In the meantime, information like this is helpful to add to our (growing) file of information.

Howard, We were recently traveling through Louisville and toured the Slugger factory and museum. I would highly recommend to any baseball fans. It was very interesting lots of fun!

You must be out off of US 42. For some reason Cell service is bad from Goshen out to Westport. Both Verizon and ATT&T seem to have big dead zones.

Thanks so much Howard for keeping us all up to date about the data/cell situation. What a mess to figure out. Looking forward to what you decide about Canada. We'd like to go to the Maritimes next time we are in Maine. Really excited about the reunion rally. Have to wait until my daughter decides her May/June 2015 wedding date to see if or for how long we can come. But we'll for sure be there if we can. Crossing my fingers for early May.

You might try using Google voice overseas and Canada. I used it in Mexico using the hotel internet and it worked great. No phone charges.

Howard in your spare time this would be an interesting test. Check the speed on both of the Verizon Jetpacks then swap the SIM cards. That would be a way to see if it is the device or the service. Love to hear the results.
