I love the trip and thought your pictures and the trail scenery were gorgeous. Thanks for taking me along.

We loved the photos and info. What a nice way to spend some quality time in GSMNP. We took notes and have added the hike to our TODOS list:o))

I loved all the little waterfalls along the way. Glad it didn't rain on the two of you. Good job:)

Great photos and nice scenery ---for more nice scenery and hiking along the Appalachian Trail check out Johnson County TN-- you would get to see me and I will even spring for lunch at my new restaurant Neva General Store in Mountain City!!!!

Fabulous trail and great report. Loved all the wild flowers on the bushes.

Howard,

Great photos, as USUAL!

I sit at my computer desk green with envy, yet again.

Margaret (wife) has been experiencing some hip and back mobility issues (taking intensive rehabilitation with a kinesiologist and chiropractor) so it looks like one of my dreams of walking your hikes will have to wait indefinitely.

Been trying to convince her that I should take the MH out and follow your trails while she sits home and relaxes. Doesn't fall for it (she would have to cook and clean the house all by herself!)

Oh well, I always did think that I was more of an armchair traveller than the real kind. Too bad, because your pics make it look so great to go on these awesome hikes!

Wish I were there (yet again!).

Take care and have tons of fun...

Thanks so much for photos and descriptions...we are hoping to get to Mt. Leconte for an overnight this year. They announce cancellations via twitter and we're hoping that since we're in NC, we can snag one of that works with our (working) schedules. In the meantime, your photos and info is much appreciated!

Wow, that is a lot of downhill...glad to hear Linda's knees held up! Lovely scenery.

The muddy water on the stairs made for a unique waterfall - great pic! Beautiful hike, thanks for sharing.
