When heading for ND be advised there are lots of oil field workers so it is hard to find a place to stay. Last year we stayed in both the north campground and the south one at Teddy Roosevelt. We liked the north one best, it is more remote and as soon as you enter the park you lose the oil field traffic and commotion. Enjoy!

I sure enjoyed reading about your hikes at Glacier National Park. Travel safe and look forward to Theodore Roosevelt National Park postings.

Fabulous hike!! A few years ago we stayed at the NPS campground close to the trailhead (when we had a much smaller trailer). We waited for the trail to open after being closed for 4 days due to bear activity. I climbed Ahern Peak twice while working in the park in the 80's and saw Iceberg Lake from above and was so happy to finally have the chance to hike into it from the East Side of the Park. Glad to hear that Glacier is now one of your favorite national Parks!!

Dewey is right. If you plan on going to the North unit of TRNP, camp as far away from Williston as you can. You won't like it there.

Another great day of hiking! Iceberg Lake was way too cool. I don't know why you didn't walk on an iceberg, Howard!

Linda sounded like John when we finished Cedar Mesa. He collapsed on our bed the last evening and said, ahhh, boot camp is over. I only had eight days and eighteen hikes needed to happen!

Enjoy North Dakota! We made three stops coming across and enjoyed each one. Check out the blog.
