We did Glacier last year, beautiful area. Loved the bears we saw there. Border guards (American) took my husbands walking stick. Very annoying. They had quite the pile of firewood. Apparently you can drive all the way from TN, hike all over Missouri, Kansas, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, drive over the border to Waterton Lake Canada, back over the border, and THEN and only THEN your walking stick is a danger to every tree in North America. It was so ridiculous!!! (insert eye roll)

If you want to cross the border with a favorite wooden walking stick, make sure the wood is varnished or painted! You have been warned!
Waterton lakes will also be known as where we had a slice of $15.00 pie. Prices are absolutely price gouging!

Do bears eat cows?

If you go to Banff. Do not miss the hike up to the Tea House. The trail is the Chateau Lake Louise http://www.banff.com/hiking/lake_agnes.shtml

You had a beary good day, I would say. Sure appreciate these photo intensive posts. The scenery and wildlife have been to die for.

No doubt Waterton is the little sister, but still unique in that it and Glacier are the only parks to straddle a national border.

We had lunch at Zum's years ago and DH thinks he left his sunglasses there. He's been looking for them ever since. You didn't seem them by chance, did you? :)
