We loved Zion and are looking forward to hearing more about your hikes. A little scary to hear about the rocks falling...You just never know when that's going to happen.

We have been there once. Had a great time! Hope your feeling better and you must do the narrows.

To hike The Narrows, you can rent "gear" in town...rubber-type pants, shoes, & a big walking stick. Makes a very enjoyable hike!

We really wanted to do the Narrows hike but at the time we were there in late April 2012 the river was running too high--your photos show a big change in the river!

Wonderful day for you two! Yes, coming out the Kayenta Trail is a beautiful choice. Good luck with the Narrows. This was something I really wanted to do but with it being March and water temps at 40 degrees and very high, it was not open.

Marlin did Angels Landing and it was a hike he absolutely loved and is a benchmark for all hikes. Are you doing that hike? Sounds like a wonderful time you are having.

Definitely plan to hike Angel's Landing - besides beautiful views, it's a very fun hike!

We too hiked all over Zion stopping short of Angel's Landing! I'm a watercolor artist and one of my paintings is of the varnished walls at the Emerald Pools. When we go back we hope to stay at The Watchman CG where we stayed last but with a much smaller/shorter RV. Enjoy the rest of your stay. Looking forward to your next report.

We love Zion too. It was here we meet two couples who told us about full timing. It was an "aha moment" for us. Little do they know what they set in motion. Five years later we were on the road and loving it. Enjoy your time there. It's magical place. We hope to visit again soon.
