This is one of the great things about Zion – so many different hiking opportunities – effort wise - with excellent payoffs. Even the hiking “challenged” can enjoy many of the hikes while the more seasoned can go for the more difficult ones.

We think Zion is a lot like Arches National Park in its incredible beauty that is so accessible to many people with different hiking abilities.

Enjoy God’s natural earthly wonders while you can.

Aren't you going to do Angel's Landing?? :)) We did not do Angel's Landing but did hike the Hidden Canyon trail and that was enough hanging off the side of a cliff using chains for me!! Way more than enough!

Wonderful hike! All that water is very peaceful and relaxing. There are 48 creek crossings to be exact. I counted them as we came back out. It would be interesting for you to look at our pictures of the hike in early March. We started warm and sunny then the temp dropped into the low 40's and the second half of the hike was in mostly snow. We walked on many frozen creeks. If hadn't been for the muddy footprints, we would never have found our way. The falls back off the path were solid ice and so beautiful. The steps going up some of the banks were icy. It definitely made for an interesting hike. We only saw a handful of people. Looks like you had a perfect day.

I so wanted to go to the Kolob Arch but with the elevation and frequent snow the creek was high and the trail was muddy according to the ranger. Hope you get there!

I'm very much enjoying your recent travels as I've visited some of these places with my parents (camping) as a child.

Was also thinking of your Grand Canyon hike today as my brother completed a Rim to Rim to Rim hike/run on Wednesday of last week (using one of the trails you hiked). Yes, all in 1 day, he's an ultra-marathoner (something we do not at ALL have in common!)

His local paper's account:

Great scenery on your hikes! I'm so envious, we love Zion- one of our favorite parks ever. If you see the Angel's Landing hike that's a crazy one, which we've done twice- it's not for everyone though. Have fun for us:)
