Wow,some great pics of the area. Will definitely be adding that area to our planning! Thanks for the trip.

Long time reader of your blog here but we've never commented. We enjoy reading about your adventures. We have a Sea Eagle 435 Paddleski and would be interested in a kayaking trip around Lake Powell. We would travel for that! :)

We love Lake Powell. This past November we stayed at Lone Rock and will definitely return. Beautiful photos....now I can't wait to return. Happy Trails, Ingrid

What a fantastic day!! Love the idea of renting the boat to see Rainbow Bridge. Beautiful surroundings.

We are planning to get a Sea Eagle this year in FL. I like the idea of a trip around the lake. Keep that in mind for the future.

Wow, I can't believe how low the water level is at Lake Powell. The last time we were there 20 years ago, we actually swam under Rainbow Bridge. Looks like that might be a little difficult to do now!

FYI, there *is* a movie, just not at the Vistor Center you're looking at. If you head further into the Canyon, there is a second, smaller visitor center that has a decent movie.

By the way - be sure to check out that tower in the visitor center. It's a natural cooling system!

And finally, I hope you get the chance to hike "Echo Canyon" on the way towards Observation Point. As truly awesome (and I almost never use that word!) as the drive from Kanab to Springvale is, the hike through Echo Canyon and the view from Observation Point is even better.

Had I the time, I would have done Angel's Landing as well. Man, do I envy you!

I have always wanted to rent a houseboat on Lake Powell! Just never could rally enough friends to make it happen. My Sea Eagle 330 and I are eagerly awaiting the announcement for the trip. ;-)

Gorgeous photos! I am crazy about those red rocks.

Thank you for the great pictures and posting! I see you used your trekking poles on your hike in.
