Congrats on the win. I was thinking maybe my Ducks would get cha. Safe travels, Lu in Southern Oregon.

Way to go you two! Linda, you are rocking it!! Great hike...nine miles!!

Congratulations on that Louisville victory, Howard!

Hi Howard,
I really love your sight and being an old Appalachian Trail hiker I finally found a subject that I may be able to offer some advice. For hotspots on feet I use “duct tape” as soon as I feel a spot developing on my foot. I and most other long distance hikers carry a couple of feet around our hiking poles or maybe even a can of bug spray, etc. and tear off what we need to cover the spot. I use “Boudreaux’s Butt Paste” that can be found most baby products isles at the grocery stores and drug stores for those angry “man rashes” that develop on long hikes. The most important product in my hiking bag is “yellow mustard” packs that you can get at any hamburger restaurant for when I get leg cramps especially at night after a long hike. One pack of yellow mustard is an instant cure at least for me and others that I have recommended it to for leg cramps.

“Hap”
Short for happy.

Athletes in training.
