You must also figure that, with the additional number of batteries + the Webasto heater, they are really limiting the amount of outside storage space. I find that our 4 deep cycle batteries on our 40' Motorhome take up enough space...can't imagine this smaller Sprinter chassis storage being robbed of even more storage space just to add a few more batteries. However, with the trend now going towards having a residential fridge as an option (or base equipment even) it seems that more batteries is the norm now!

Glad you realized that you are just human, like the rest of us ;-)

Never fails to check, double check, make a list before and after, and then triple check one more time. Been there, done that!

Doesn't sound like any harm was done, except to your pride...

No reason to try to "convince" an RV manufacturer to build your version of a 5th wheel. New Horizons already does that. They will build anything you can dream up, and the quality will be far above almost any other 5th wheel you could find. SO will the weight, and likely the price. You get what you pay for, though :)

There will come a time when an RV will be self sufficient relying on solar and batteries and off the grid. I truly believe that you with your knowledge could help that along.
An aside-the dreamliner planes have been grounded due to problems with the lithium batteries-where there is a problem there is an opportunity.
