We got moving around 9:00 this morning. Linda did a little packing while I answered a couple of Forum questions before heading out to do our one weighing for the day.
Once that was done, we finished packing up and pulled out around 11:00.
We drove 95 miles southwest toward Tampa and pulled off I-4 at the exit for Long View RV Superstores. We have an appointment tomorrow to get our gray tank and all our tank valves replaced. The parts came in last week.
Fortunately, it's all covered under our extended warranty. We bought seven-year warranty when we bought the rig in 2005. It has certainly paid for itself, but it expires this April. We'll have to consider whether or not to get another.
We're also going to have our truck serviced at Gator Ford down the road. We have about 61,000 miles on it, so it's time to do the big 60,000-mile service. That one will put a little dent in the wallet. :)
We got parked on the Long View lot and got settled for the afternoon. I started researching our next couple of stops, and Linda had to check her inventory since she has five new bracelet orders.
Wow, I forgot how loud the traffic is from the interstate. It's gonna be a tough night to sleep. Also, there's a really good chance we'll have to get a hotel tomorrow night. We'll certainly be glad when these couple of days are over. :)
Just curious, what made you need to replace your gray-water holding tank? Did it spring a leak?

Good Luck with the repairs!
I hope my 05 Big Sky doesn't need such attention anytime soon. Perhaps your frequent full-time use is a parts/equipment longevity issue for tanks and valves?

J.C.,
See next day's entry. :)
Charles,
I think the bigger issue is that we've been parking without sewer hook-ups and we are more willing to travel with water in the gray tank because of our upgrades on wheels, tires, suspension, and brakes. Before, we would have made a bigger effort to get the tanks dumped before traveling. Now we don't mind hauling the extra weight to the next campground, and that probably adds to the stress of the connections going into the tanks.
