It rained off and on all day, so except for a quick venture out around noon, we cozied up in the RV and rested our sore muscles from yesterday's hike.
Linda said "Everything is sore" and I had more soreness than usual from a hike. We were both a little thankful it was raining. :)
We got some work done and returned a bunch of emails. Here a few updates.
2011 Fally Rally
Our 2011 RV-Dreams Fall Rally is only a month and a half away. The original deadline for registration was August 1 and we've had a rash of last-minute registrations the last few days.
For those that may have forgotten the deadline and want to think about it a little bit more, we've extended the deadline a few extra days to August 5. That's also the deadline for cancellations to receive a partial refund.
So far we have about 110 people signed up and all but a few are first-time attendees. Very exciting! :)
Soon, we will be sending out an email to all those registered providing more details and information on what to expect. It's going to be informative and fun! :)
New Advertiser
We just wanted to bring to your attention the new banner ad on the right sidebar of the Journal. RVs For Less, who brought two fifth wheels for viewing to our 2011 Spring Rally, is now an advertising partner.
They are located just outside of Knoxville, TN and deal in fifth wheels from DRV (Mobile Suites, Elite Suites, Select Suites) and Heartland (Landmark, Bighorn, Big Country). They also have great used RVs they've taken in on trade.
Tell Butch & Karen that Howard & Linda over at RV-Dreams sent you. :)
Other Advertisers/Sponsors
While we are at it, we just wanted to remind everyone to please remember to check out all the sponsor ads. Here is a link to a page where we describe how the various ads work and how you may earn a little money on your own blogs and websites: Your Support Is Appreciated - Shopping Our Advertisers.
RV Weighing At FMCA Rally in Wisconsin
We will be flying in to assist with RV Weighing and manning the RVSEF booth at the FMCA Family Reunion & Motorhome Showcase in Madison Wisconsin from August 10 - 13. We will arrive on the 9th and we will be doing weighing during the rally and the day after on the 14th. Hopefully, we'll see some of you there!
Then we will be flying back to Boston on the 15th and have a couple of weeks or so to explore the southern and mid Maine coast before heading toward Hershey for the Fall Rally.
We're working on attending a couple of other RV rallies to do weighing at the end of September, but we don't have enough information yet to make an announcement.
MOR/ryde
MOR/ryde International just launched its new website and they asked us to let our readers know. It seems to flow much better than the old one.
There wasn't much more to our day other than heading out to Auntie Em's in Greenville for breakfast ... well, breakfast for lunch. It was packed on this rainy day and is, apparently THE place to go for casual breakfast and lunch. They serve breakfast all day and they open at 5:00 a.m. so you can eat before the various moose, rafting, and fishing tours get started.
I had the Lumberjack Breakfast, which has just about everything, and Linda went for the Eggs Au Gratin with raisin toast.
That was pretty much it. Our main exercise today was digesting. :)
Hopefully, it will clear up and our soreness will go away for tomorrow. :)
