After making it through that hike, I decided it was time to chip in again. Love the pictures, commentary and videos! Have not made it to the northeast, so finding lots of places through your blog that I would like to go. Thanks!

WOW....Thanks for taking us there!!! It did look difficult, but beautiful. Will put this one on our TODOS list;o)))

Get some REST!!!

We are planning on being in that area in July/August 2012. My husband is from that area but we don't tell people that here in the south. I'm putting this hike on our list of must-do's. What do you usually pack in the back-packs?

Congratulations for taking this on and succeeding. Beautiful but tough is how it looks. I think I'd need to be out there at 8am at the latest since I walk about 1 mph and maybe less when waterfalls are involved. :-)

Oh to be young again. Great job! Thanks for the great trip.

After being in both NH and ME for two separate summer and doing some hiking is those states we understand the rough terrain they have to offer. T%he scenery is great and we loved the pic's and video. We were in that area for only two nights and could of spent a lot more time there. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

What - not a spring chicken any more? AARP is around the corner but can't imagine that word 'elderly' will ever cross your lips! We are loving our place at Jojoba!

Wow I was breathing hard just reading this post. What beauty on your hike and even though you were wipped when done it was well worth it!!! GREAT photos & videos. Now get some rest!
Have fun & Travel safe

What great pictures and videos! The Moosehead Lake area is one of the most beautiful areas and has the best hiking trails around. Looks like you guys had a great time!

See the North Maine Woods and whitewater rivers with the registered Maine outdoor guides who love it most and know it best—Northeast Whitewater Rafting.

Thanks for your tips about hiking trails in the area. We are from Italy and stayed in Greenville for about a couple of weeks and found your info really useful, we made the Mount Kineo trail but unfortunately we could not make it trough the all trail in Gulf Hagas cause it had been heavily raining the days before we decided to do it and rocks on the Rim trail were extremely slippery and with nothing to grab at, so we took the safer pleasant river tote trail. Just to add some more info, if you do not feel like to ford the river there is an other trail departing from the Upper Gulf Parking area next to Hedgehog Gate (it is just an extra 2 miles to reach the head of the trail) And if you are planning to go back in the area let me suggest you cannot just miss the Little Wilson Falls trail, the Big Moose Mountain trail and the legendary Baxter Peak (the head of the AT) on Mount Katahdin in Baxter state park (we did it trough the Chimney Pond and Saddle trail) they all worth a try! Thanks and keep going! Patrizia
