Check out Amity on the Alabama side(our favorite) and R. Sheaffer Heard on the Georgia side (also a great spot).

Forgot to mention---Best Barbeque is Rogers Barbeque , just as you go into West Point , Ga from highway 29. Also, if you are adventurous head on down highway 29 into Alabama--go about 8 or 10 miles just past Valley High School to Daniel's Resturant on the left for the best old time hamberger around. Its all to go--no eat in--and if someone did not tell you about it ---you would NEVER stop there.

You need a laid back week to get ready for the Rally. :-) See you on the 9th.

Jim and Linda

Normally when I read your blog, I'm jealous that you guys are living my dream life. Now, Linda has a Kindle! Kudos to you both for living life to its fullest - on your own terms. Love your blog. (I'm off to research e-readers)

I enjoy reading about your travels. LaGrange is my hometown. I no longer live there. LaGrange has a beautiful downtown area, if you have time to visit. You must go by Charlie Josephs and have a world famous hotdog. It is located on Bull Street. The hamburgers are also good! I have camped in some of the areas you mentioned they are all beautiful. Enjoy your travels.

Wow Howard this campground looks fabulous.
I sure hope at the rally you will give some details on how you find the specific COE's and any tips on contacting them etc.

I seem to spend a lot of time trying to find places to stay with the IT factor and mine is just about like yours.

I'd love to hear pointers from anyone who has great luck and spends less time than I do finding COE's with electric for camping.

See you all soon!

Darn, Just missed meeting you as we left campsite 33 on Tuesday.
Have you heard about the lightning strike that took out an RV's electric system Saturday? Some sites were closed while repairs were made.
Recommend Callaway Gardens south in Pine Mountain GA, Explorations in Antiquity Museum (LaGrange) and the Brickhouse Grill (downtown Lagrange). There are a couple of "fine" restaurants in downtown LaGrange along with a movie theatre. There's a Farmer's Market grocery just off the Lafayette Parkway close to I-85 interchange if you like local produce.
Enjoy the sunnier weather later this week!
