I forgot to mention that we received our new Sea Eagle 370 boat last Thursday.
The prior Saturday, when inflating our SE 370 for a river trip, we discovered a hole along one of the seams in one of the chambers. After speaking to Tim Ryerson at InflatableBoats4Less.com, we sent pictures of the hole and provided the hull number of the boat.
Tim handled everything, and since the boat was still within its 3-year warranty, Sea Eagle shipped us a new boat. We were only without our boat for a few days. Great service from Tim. :)
Rally Update
Due to cancellations and some folks changing their reservations from the Spring Rally to the Fall Rally, we were able to get everyone on the waiting list into the Spring Rally (or at least we were able to offer a spot). We'll be arriving at River Plantation RV Park in Sevierville, TN on April the 8th - less than three weeks away! :)
So far, we have 20 registrations for the Fall Rally in Hershey, PA. We have 60 RV sites and 15 on-site rental units set aside at the Thousand Trails Hershey Preserve. So, if the Spring Rally didn't work into your plans, perhaps the Fall Rally will.
Also, we are working on plans for rallies out west in 2012. We still haven't solidified our travel schedule and haven't selected dates or locations yet, but we have a few venues in mind. We'll provide details as soon as we make those decisions. :)
This morning, Linda & I rode our bikes a few hundred feet north to the Sunset Isle RV Park where we had breakfast. They have a small restaurant in the office that serves breakfast, BBQ, and ice cream. Prices are very reasonable and the food is good.
After breakfast, Linda drove a quarter mile toward town to do laundry. While she was there, a couple on bikes stopped in. They have been staying at the Sunset Isle RV Park and, being RV-Dreams readers, stopped when they recognized the Jeep. Since they are just up the road, I'm hoping I'll get to meet them before we move on later this week. :)
When Linda returned from the laundry, we had to decide whether we were going to move the rig. The boondocking site we were in really wasn't a site, and workers are expected back tomorrow to work on the drainage area beside the rig. Not really knowing their plans we were concerned that we might get blocked in or be in the way.
Since Pat & Cindy have our original site open for a few more days, we decided to move back into it. Yep, two moves in three days totaling about 100 feet. When we started almost six years ago, packing up and moving like that was much more daunting than it is now. :)
Barry helped get traffic stopped, and we got backed in easily. Stopping traffic here isn't that big of a deal, but it adds a little anxiety to the backing process. :)
During the afternoon, I watched more basketball and Linda did more reading.
Eventually, she joined Pat and others when the Tiki Bar opened. I meant to post this photo of Pat yesterday, but today works just as well. :)
He was in his "Our Job Is Better Than Your Vacation" t-shirt. :)
We had some clouds this evening, and we thought we might have a more colorful sunset.
But it turned out to be pretty much the same as the other days .... yawn. :)
After the sun went down, we headed to our rig for the evening. Pat & Cindy have had a couple of really busy days, so they needed some time to rest.
The big, beautiful moon rose around 9:00 and it lit up the night sky again.
Well that's about it. Just another day in the life. :)
I really like the sunrise/sunset pictures. When still working in a city there are no wide open spaces to see a great sunrise or sunset. I can't wait to be able to view them soon.
Thanks for sharing.
