So, it rained all night long. And then it rained off and on all day until about 6:30 when it finally cleared up.
While we were hanging out in the rig, we had two deliveries of strawberries. It's strawberry time up here and both Rebecca and Joy (from the Pro Shop) managed to get out between showers this morning. At separate times, they brought Linda a basket of juicy red fruit.
Well, that called for a run to the grocery to get ingredients to make a cake. Have you noticed a pattern? Every time we get stuck inside, Betty Crocker appears and I gain a couple pounds. :)
During the rainy day, Linda worked on various projects, and I continued working on a "dummy" Thunder Bay website. It's hard to explain what I envision, so I just used Blogger's page building feature to prepare a simpler, less cluttered, but richer look.
It's not going to be as professional as I would like, but hopefully it will provide an idea of where we might want to go with it. When I get it more to my liking, I'll get your opinions.
Now, while we were sitting in our recliners intently working on our laptops between 1:30 and 2:00, the air conditioner kicked on. Simultaneously, the rig started shaking. We thought there was something wrong with the air conditioner and that it was walking off the roof or something. :)
It felt like there was someone outside pushing our rig and making it wobble. But who would be doing that in the rain? And there was absolutely no wind, so it couldn't have been that. The air conditioner went off and came back on, but there was no shaking that time.
Having felt tremors before in other parts of the country, we thought "Could it have been an earthquake?"
We certainly hadn't thought about earthquakes in Michigan. But a couple hours later, the news broke that there was an earthquake in Canada on the Ontario/Quebec border at 1:41 and tremors were felt for hundreds of miles.
Well, allrighty then. :)
Linda made her cake and we considered going to the Wednseday evening couples gold scramble. But it continued to rain and we opted out. Of course the weather cleared about forty-five minutes after the tee off time.
She made us some spaghetti for dinner. I told her it was the best spaghetti she ever made. I don't know what she did, but I asked her to write it down. It was delicious! :)
Well, that does it for another day. Hopefully, the rain will go away and I can get outside and work off my strawberry cake. :)
With all your golfing, you shouldn't have to worry about any strawberry cake!

We felt the quake in Dayton, Ohio. 1000 miles from the center.
