The humidity and temperatures were down today and it was beautiful. Perfect for my 8:30 a.m. golf game with the other workampers. :)
Unfortunately, I messed up the first couple of holes and my putting was atrocious. For the first time since we've been here, I came unglued a little bit on the golf course. But it only lasted about two and a half holes and everything was okay again. :)
This course will drive you crazy if you let it. But the personal challenge is what I like about it.
Linda had a nice, leisurely morning and did more research for our raft trips and future birding programs. A little later, she went into Hillman to do laundry.
When I got back from golf, I rode my bike to the resort office where I had a meeting scheduled with Jack & Melanie. In order to assist with the website and marketing, I needed to find out the "identity" and the message they want to convey.
I tried to be honest without being offensive. In the end, we narrowed down some ideas and agreed to some major website revisions. Melanie & I are now in charge of revising the website. So I'll be pretty busy with that over the next few weeks.
While I was at my meeting, Linda did some pruning and gardening around the lodging area. By the time she was finished, she had her knee hurting again. Hopefully, it will be very temporary.
When she got back, I grilled some pork chops for dinner. Then I was off to play more golf. Yep, another nine holes. :)
A bunch of guys here have a Thursday evening golf scramble. It's eight bucks and there is a random draw for teams. There are cash prizes. My team didn't do so well, but we won a "closest to the pin" prize, and I got two bucks back. :)
After settling up, I walked home where I found Linda & Bill sitting outside with Linda watching the hummingbirds and finches. Linda had made a strawberry cake - she just can't keep from baking, especially when there is someone else to feed :) - and they were waiting for me to sample it.
As it got later, and the bugs started to come out, Bill & Linda departed, and we retired inside. We watched the TIVOed season premiere of "So You Think You Can Dance" and then it was off to bed.
Tomorrow, we're heading back out to work on the river. Working 40 hours per week last year and getting paid for it sure helped our finances. But we certainly prefer the "schedule" we have this year. :)
Linda, Have you ever seen a good chiropracter for your knee? Mine worked wonders for me in about 6 weeks and I haven't had to go back. Hate to see you having such recurring trouble at such a young age. It's also possible that your headaches are a spinal adjustment problem which could also be taken care of. Not an expensive thing to do.
