Linda...I wish you could sit down with Sherri and Dortha Hall and let them tell you some of the tales they have after 18 years of doing craft shows. Sherri made American Girl doll clothes and Dortha painted book covers. We were side by side with them at Canton First Monday Trade Days for all those years and had the same conversations with people as Howard has written about above. Things must have gotten better for them both they did it 18 years???

You have a great blog. We have never been fulltimers but enjoyed our traveling days!!!

Yep, that is real close to work. The only thing that might have sold was edible bracelets,.. (Wow, off to the patent office I go)

I'm sorry the craft show didn't go better, but maybe you met some people that were interesting to talk to? At least the weather is wonderful there, here in Colorado it has been snowing for 3 days now and cold, cold, COLD! :)

I am SO glad the weather has improved for you two. Signs of an early Spring are all over the place here in Columbus GA. Flocks of Robins migrating north have come and gone, and the trees are starting to put out the reddish buds of new leafage.
Today's high temp is forecast to be near 70. I am SO ready for Springtime I can't stand it. Having lived here since 1982 I can't remember so many protracted spells of sub-freezing temperatures as we've had this past winter.
It looks doubtful now that I will be able to get down there to meet you, but if you should decide to stay at FDR State Park again on your way to the rally, let me know... that's only about 30 miles from here.

God bless, Tim Fansler

I'm so sorry about the sales, but that's what I was finding out with selling beaded items. I'm glad now I didn't keep all mine. I think it's been a lot worse in the past year with people losing jobs and homes. They're more critical what they buy.

Howard and Linda,

My experiences at craft shows are the same as yours. Nobody is buying anything except at the food stalls. One lady made a killing with her homemade cupcakes, cookies, pies and breads. Tell Linda to try that next time.

I'm sure sorry Linda didn't have better luck with her bracelet sales. The displays and the bracelets looked so nice, I'm surprised they weren't all snapped up.

Linda...your table was excellent. Maybe the $'s where not there today, but what a wonderful day, anyway. All is good. Great jewelry. Old people in florida have all the jewelry they need. I read your blog everyday. I have a blog now. Check out itsalliwanttodorvtravels.blogspot.com leave a comment

Pity about the poor sales at the market, most people who frequent markets are after bargains and don't appreciate the effort and skill that goes into quality handcrafts. A friend of mine makes small woodcraft items and sells hundreds of them through consignment to stores in tourist towns.

Perhaps the secret is to seeks out the right store as an outlet for Linda's bracelets.

I was hoping Linda's sales would be better. I had a stained glass shop and no one wanted to pay what a window was worth, they wanted prices like the windows made in Mexico. I could barely buy the glass and lead for what the Mexican made RV windows sell for. I understand everyone wants a bargain but it makes it tough to sell our handmade creations.

Hey Linda.. maybe you can take close up photos of the bracelets and sell some online.. I know they have to be beautiful.
