COE sure has some beautiful parks, even the ones that are partly under water! We stayed at Tenkiller Lake in Oklahoma. The lake was very high and some sites were flooded, but we were a little uphill from that part. Neat.

I can't wait to get out of Michigan so we can go back to camping in public parks. I love the state parks here, but with the new RV (all 43 ft. of it!) we don't fit anywhere! Long sites, paved roads, good electric, but without the "RV resort" atmosphere . . . that's perfect!

Enjoy your stay! We're still debating the 2010 rally. The timing couldn't be better -- the boys will be on Easter break, but Tom's still not sure if he wants to go that far when we have to come all the way back home . . . I'm working on him! We'll DEFINITELY be at a social rally here in MI, though!

FYI: In TX you have to be careful with County roads. Some are paved and some are dirt roads. Our Garmin and DeLorme have sent us on many county dirt roads. If we are pulling our Montana we usually print out directions from the DeLorme and I check for County roads and then look at a map or call where we are heading. Glad you lucked out on a great campground.

Wow! What a beautiful area. Looks like you're high enough above the lake where being flooded out isn't likely and if the road floods..well you get to stay there and enjoy the solitude even longer.

Howard we just spent the whole summer in COE parks here in TN. Defeated Creek, Salt Lick, Cages Bend, Cedar Creek. If you come through TN let us know. They are all just like your site, Level, electric (Most 50amps) water and some sites even have sewer. Dump station usually back up when you leave as it is free. We are enjoying our NEW T@B. And will go Full Time in 2 years.Ken & Bonnie T@BShack

Howard: now cut that out!!!

If you keep telling everyone what great campgrounds the COE provides, they will soon be too crowded.
