The thing they used to take the drum off with looks like a dog bone. So I am going to tell people they had to Dog Bone it off! :)

I am lurker and follow your blog. Could you post picture of the old brake shoes the face of them. I predicted that "warped drum" could not cause the problem you had. Something engaging those shoes and grooves like made by rivets caused the screeching noise. Do pictures of shoes first time the drum was changed. I am a retired mechanic and am just curious. Glad you are back on road safe. Thanks

Roll on' yea...seems like I recall that overnight shipping is guaranteed. If you look on the UPS web site it does say that. Since it was their fault in having the wrong driver pick up the package you MUST fight them to have the charges dropped. I hate it when these companies get away with sloppy service. Anyway, my next company to take on is the cell phone 2 yr contract. Wish me luck...

Glad to know the problem has been fixed. Wish we were going to the Rally but that 4 letter word, w@*k is in the way. Hopefully next year we can make it.

HURRAY! Glad to learn you're back in business -- and y'all are doing well, again!!!

p.s. Our house just sold; never got it listed or painted, our agent just kept bringing folks by to see it; we've got 3 weeks to get out -- no fixups wanted, sold as-is; now, we're in a panic to get stuff into storage or dumped... but, hey, it's what we wanted! F-T in the RV for awhile -- too late to make the rally, but hope to catch up soon.

H&L, congrats on your perseverance in finally getting the right fix. You both deserved a few drinks after that ordeal.

Whew! Enough excitement for awhile!!!

Hooray!!!! Glad you got everything fixed!!! See ya down the road1

We certainly understand your getting some rest last evening. We were able to get some good work done setting up our own next journey. So nice ... and surprising!... to see you as we came back to the park! Travel safe!

Congrats on getting back on the road! Your trials and tribulations are making for exciting reading! 765 miles from Benson to Kerrville, a long boring stretch of I-10 in my experience. Looking forward to hearing how you make it enjoyable.
