I am curious as to why you also travel with the Jeep? I guess it saves unhooking if you want to go somewhere that you don't want to take the 5th wheel, but it would be more expensive having to pay for both vehicles, gas, wear and tear, insurance, etc. I am thinking of buying a 5th wheel, but I just presumed that I would always unhook and use the truck for local day trips etc while the 5th wheel was parked at the campground.

Howard, I hope you'll still keep Burro Creek on your list. It's a nice quiet spot with a small creek. We stayed there last spring and plan to go back.

Very pleased to know you are up and running again with very little expense. Without your foresight this could have been expensive. Thanks for bringing back memories of our trip to Lake Havasu City. That was a fun day. We did get to camp at Cattail Cove SP on our way to Flagstaff. We enjoyed the trails along the lake shore there and it was an easy commute into LHC. Of course the only trails you are interested in right now are the ones to get you to Kerrville. Sorry we cannot join you there but we wish you a very successful rally. Have fun!

There is a very nice RV Park in Needles right on the edge of the river. You have to drive off the freeway and into town, however, to find it. We've stayed there many times. It is Needles Marin RV Park and is a Good Sam park. www.needlesmarinapark.com

Sounds like it's time to reconsider a GPS, Howard. Ours has saved us in quite a few instances. Points of interest (POIs) can be downloaded in advance, retrieved easily while on the road and the directions are accurate. Have you looked at them lately?

Hi Howard, when my wife first read to me of your brake problem, I thought the drum being out of round would be a result of the problem, not the cause. I suspect it may be an electrical short in the individual wiring to that wheel, activating the brake and locking it up.
Good luck.
