"Yes, my friends, sometimes we need to step outside our own bodies and minds and look at our lives through someone else's eyes".
I agree completely... You can do just about anything for 4 months, so that you can have a relax with friends and family for 4-5 months.

Howard, you are right! Those foloks are also right to be envious. No, we don't like cleaning even our own toilet, but we do love our life and our lifestyle. Your reminder was a good one for all of us!

Just wondering, if that guy thinks it's such a great lifestyle, why doesn't he do it? I wouldn't live the way you do for anything.

Just had the same thing happen to me while workamping. I choose to work like this to keep my retirement check all to myself. Sometimes I forget why I do this until I talk to someone I just helped park that has to go back to work next week. I dont have to work as hard as I do but I took your motto "Leave the place better than you found it" to heart. I have painted a 2 story clubhouse and many storage sheds this past 3 months (with no help from the other workampers) because they say that it is to hard of a job for them. i am not under any pressure (for the first time in my life) to finish some jobs in a certain amount of time. To see my wife happy because she loves Oregon is all the thanks I need.
Life is great.

TO Rex?

Why do you read a site about living the rv lifestyle and then post you would not live the way they do for anything?

Sorry but am I missing something here?

Jimbo--I've been reading this site since the beginning. I'm not talking about the rv lifestyle; I'm talking about spending 40 hours per week pumping and hauling sewage, and cleaning bathrooms.
