Howard - thank you for the wonderful photos today. Having never spent time in the southwest, the photos are "next best". We look forward to your writing about your experiences camp hosting again! Take care.

Sorry to hear the road was so rough for you. That would take a lot of the enjoyment away from this drive. As a contrast, my wife & I did the 17 mile loop in our 24' Navion in April, 2007 and it was very smooth with the exception of the 1st quarter mile. I suppose we were very lucky as it had rained lightly the day before we arrived & that helped to keep the dust to a minimum. (We also had a clear day & a brilliant blue sky.) This drive was one of the highlights of our Southwestern journey. We are enjoying your blog & travels very much and hope someday to meet you both!

We saw part of Monument Valley years ago. We've also been to Arches, but not Canyonlands. Next time in Utah, we gotta take a grand tour!

Thanks for sharing. We'll have to watch that rough road as we are a little older than you guys, and bumps feel rougher on our bones.

We enjoyed your pictures!

Thanks for so much information, it does much help for my trip plan to Monument Valley.
