I also use the same bladder that Robbie has, and the same Harbor Freight pump. Great minds think alike!! We have been using our bladder since 2000. It works great and holds up well. You definately need one. To power the pump I recommend making up the trailer plug - you don't want a dead (or low) boat battery to stop your fill process. Staying put there sounds like a great idea....there is just something about the desert that we love - and FREE helps a lot :)

I'm glad to hear Roy and Lowell are OK. I miss his humor.

Howard, I'm curious how much the hummingbird window cost. I'm starting to make them now and just wondering how much the Mexicans sell them for.

WOW...I love your new stained glass window, it really looks nice. Of course, I'm partial to hummingbirds and the color blue. :-)

Regarding the stain glass window, be sure and keep an eye on it that it doesn't shake apart.

It may not be a factor, but back in 1996 we had a stain glass window with hummingbirds made for our front door. At the time, we were cautioned that if we got a storm door to make sure that there was a gap somewhere so the opening of the door wouldn't create suction on the glass.

Now, having said that, our glass is about 22" x 36" in size, so it would be more prone to break and/or pull apart.

But, at any rate, yours looks good in that door.

Our window was $37.50. I've seen prices anywhere between that and $55.00.

Like Jack, I agree you should put a switch on the pump. It is just to easy to touch positive to negative and blow the truck fuse.

I also connect to the trailer plug. Just got an extra 7-pin trailer plug and used the positive and negative contacts, then to the switch and then to the pump.

If anyone is interested, the item number for the bladder is 1605 at CW.

The pump is the only 12v pump that Harbor Freight sells and costs $40.

Loved the Hummingbird window. Do you know the name of the shop where it was purchased? Would love to have one for our RV window.
