Hi Howard and Linda,

Question: What do all the residents do with the garbage we all make daily?

Does the Honey Wagon pick that up also?

Thanks for all the information you have provided...we have never been there, but know people who have camped there...

Again, Thanks!

Glad you're enjoying Q....and the weather. However, this seems to be an "above average", meaning better, January than most in the recent past. Both times we've spent a week In Q it's been very windy and cold enough for winter coats after the sun went down.

You echo my feelings about Q. I love the boondocking and the social aspect of it, but I seldom, if ever, go into town and never to the Big Tent. Wes goes to town about every day, but just thinking about it gives me serious anxiety.

It is pretty surprising how clean it is around here with all these people.

The Long-Term Visitors Area has trash collection points. Trash collection (not site by site obviously) is included with the fee to park there.

For those not in the LTVA, there is a waste transfer station just north of town. Groups often have volunteers that gather trash and make runs to the transfer station for their group. Individuals take their own.

We've had different people fill their pick-ups and make runs for our group since we've been here. It's a team effort. :)

Interesting post. A group of 9 rigs coming in Thursday, Jan. 29. Moving a little closer to town, staying at Rice Ranch. Since parking is a hassle, figured those who want to visit the vendors can walk. You have any idea on propane prices there? Enjoy your stay. Weather is supposed to be heating up in the next few days.

We got propane for $2.29 the other day.
