Our two cabins vacated this morning and we got right to work on cleaning. We had three new reservations coming into the cabins today and one RV as well.
We were done with our necessary chores around 12:30. I did a little weedeating around a fire pit and Linda baked some more pies as we were expecting 15 or 16 people by day's end.
I spent most of the afternoon working on the new Ranch website. I still have a few pages to add, need to put in some more links, and tidy up some things. But, you can check out the work we've done so far and get a look at the insides of the cabins by clicking on this link: V.A. Poma Ranch. Let us know what you think so far. :)
As the day ended, I took one of our guests fishing and Doug went along as well. For the first time in awhile, us fly-fishermen got shut out. Doug, however, caught four with his spinner. He may never pick up a fly rod again. :)
Here is the obligatory picture from the river as the sun went down.
Linda did all that baking today and nobody showed up for dessert hour. She was a little disappointed. Oh well, more for us. :)
With some switching with Doug & JoAnn, we worked all the weekdays this week. It wasn't too bad as it was pretty quiet around here, but we're ready for a couple days off.
We'll see what we can get into. We've got an appointment Sunday to scout a possible rally location. Stay tuned. :)
Howard and Linda,
Great Job on the ranch website!!! Much better.
I noticed you included a "typical" weather statement. You may want to hyperlink a weather "report" to appear on the homepage. I have noticed some campground websites do this...it just gives a brief temperature reading with Cloudy, Windy or some other descriptive weather word.
Have a great two days off.
Blessings,
Fran

Very nice display of the Ranch, Howard. Although, I WAS looking for the signature Howard "smiley" :), after I read the sentence about the waterfall shower. :)

Howard.. The website is much better than before. Can you tell me if the ranch make reservations year round?

I agree with Fran about the hyperlink to current weather conditions on the home page. Also, on the "our cabins" page I would have made the Thumbnail pictures clickable rather than having visitors scroll to the bottom of the page.
Very nice job overall.

Great web page Howard.
Linda sorry I missed the fresh pie wish I was there.

Yes, It does look a lot better, Howard. Jolly good job. The cabins are very inviting, and so is the website.
Do they have any pictures of the upstairs bedroom of the Bunkhouse ?
I see the pet charge is $10.00. Is the $25 maximum for two and a half pets ?

Great job on the web site. You have made it very interesting. You may want to have the larger google map open on a new page. Good luck finding a new gathering site.

I was one of the cabin guest that just had to try the waterfall shower. It was a unique experience. Everyone should try it at least one.
I loved all the pictures of the cabins and the valley. They don't capture all the charm of the ranch. It is something you have to see for yourself.

Howard, great job on the website. I absolutely love the pic of the ranch with the rainbow arching over it. Wow!
The cabins are amazing; I didn't realize how very nice they are. Not rustic in my opinion at all! I did notice that the word "accommodate" was misspelled on the cabin page. Figured you'd want to know.

Wonderful job on the website, Howard! Love the rainbow picture. The ranch is certainly benefiting by your outstanding marketing and technical skills. I was a little confused, do they have 2 full RV hookup sites or just the 2 which are the staff sites?? When is hunting season? The site wasn't clear or I just missed it for the higher rates. Safe travels! With all those desserts, you guys won't be ready for cookies for a long time!
