I was shaking my head in dis-belief as I read the story of the 47-footer. Wow - you have the patience of a saint!

Sounds like the dinner was a nice reward for a lot of day's challenges.

In Chicago

I know it wasn't funny for you while you were experiencing it, and I sympathize, but your description of your day had me laughing so hard tears came! This was better than Robin Williams emptying his blackwater tank in RV!!

Gotta love ya!

Howare I hope the Ranch owners know how lucky they were when you and Linda signed on. You guys are busting your butts off. It is rewarding I know. As long as you are being appricated it is worth it.

Wow, good job of describing your frenetic day! Just curious, what brand was this guy's 47-footer? I'm assuming it's a fifth wheel? Really enjoyed the post, Howard... you do have a way with words. :)

WOW 10.00 a nite for doggies is quite steep. The whole time we were traveling up the coast of California this spring the most we every paid with our dogs was 2 bucks and that included the whole
time we stayed.

Get ready, Howard. The guy with the 47 foot trailer is gonna leave a pile of something for you when he leaves and it won't be cash

Howard I've got to see this WHEEL POWERED WEEDEATER, please take a pic and show it on the web. p.s you have more patience than I do with that group, well person.Mr 47 footer, sounds like he should have stayed home.

Regarding the couple that may have wanted to stay another day, if it were me and loving the peace and quiet of the mountains of Colorado, the ATV's would have been enough for me to decide to leave.

Horses neighing I can handle. Engines being revved on ATV's is a whole different matter.

I've GOT to see a picture of this 47 foot trailer. I'm assuming it's not a horse trailer with living quarters although I have seen some fairly long ones (and they are now coming with slide outs too). And being a horsewoman, I must say that I love having all the luxuries that I have in our 5th wheel also in my horse trailer.

Most horse people are fairly self sufficient but this group sounds a bit more needy than they should be. You may want to consider another policy that includes a non-refundable deposit (for the unwanted deposits:)

Today's entry brought back memories of a short time ago - when you were busy accomodating all the folks at Arches. :)

I hope the guy with the "47 footer" proves us all wrong and he does the right thing. I don't think I would have been as nice to him as you have been. To echo the others - what kind of trailer is it?

I'd say we are all wanting to see pictures of this beast of a trailer along with what the place looks like with people running amuck.

Howard, you do a great job explaining in detail whats is going on and what things look like, but this time...pictures are in need.
