Only three recipes? I've got a 3-ring binder full of ones I've gleaned from the internet. Even though I've probably only used about 1/2 of them I can already think of more than 3 that are our favorites. How about things like: Tioga George's Enchiladas, Tortilla Pizza, Chili Relano Casserole, Egg Rolls, White Chili, Seafood Chowder, etc.

Hi Howard,
Who do you have your HSA with? Do they charge anything for administration?

And...do you fund your HSA from funds already taxed? Or do you use IRA funds?

We want to make sure there are enough spots for everyone, but you could always put three recipes in your name and three in your spouse's name. :)

If we need more recipes by the end of February, we will allow additional entries per person. :)

We have our HSA with Merrill Lynch. There are no additional fees. Many HSA health plans seem to indicate that you should have your HSA account with them, but that is NOT a requirement. You are allowed to manage your own HSA and place it with any institution.

We do fund our HSA from "new" money. In 2006, the HSA laws were changed so that you can roll IRA money into an HSA without a penalty. BUT, it's a one-time deal to do it without IRA withdrawal penalties. They do that to help folks kickstart their HSA accounts, but after the one-time transfer, regular early IRA withdrawal penalties apply.

Hope that helps. :)

I'm back on this subject again...can you provide contact info for the Merrill Lynch folks that help you?
