I awoke not feeling too well. I don't know if I picked up a bug on the airplanes returning from our cruise, or if the smoke from the ship's casino finally caught up with me.
I used to get sick after every exposure to cigarette smoke for any length of time.
The Norwegian Star only allowed smoking outdoors and in two inside places - the cigar lounge and the casino. At least the cigar lounge was confined. The smoke in the casino permeated through the ship. The casino was on deck 6 and we could smell the smoke on deck 8.
I'm hoping our next cruise, if it ever happens, is completely non-smoking. :)
Anyway, we got up early this morning and headed to my parents' house so that we could supervise day one of their carpet installation. I also helped my Dad cut off the bottoms of a few doors so they wouldn't drag on the carpet.
Linda did five loads of laundry. Amazingly, we wore almost all the clothes we took on our trip.
Later in the day we got a call from Darrell & Judy (WanderingAmerica.com). They got into Louisville today and invited us to join them for dinner.
Darrell & Judy have been corresponding with us since the beginning, and we have been looking forward to meeting. So we made our way out to Grandma's RV Park and found their Cedar Creek fifth wheel.
We quickly dispensed with handshakes and went right to the hugs. :)
Inside we met Katie & Alex, the ragdoll cats. And we sat and talked while the smell of the italian dinner was wafting through the rig. I only wish I had been feeling up to par.
After our wonderful meal and a couple of hours getting to know these fine folks, we departed with more hugs. Tomorrow, they are coming to our place, so we can chat a bit more. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better.
At home it wasn't long before we were ready for bed. The temperature was expected to drop about 20 degrees so we made sure to bundle up.
Until tomorrow. :)
Take care of yourself Howard. We hope you get feeling better.

You talk about the smoke in the casino and how it goes through the ship. We can agree with you and the same as in some resturants that have a smoking section, the entire resturant is fill of smoke fumes. My saying is "A smoking allowed resturant/building is like having a peeing section in a pool"
