You are amazing!!! Thank you.

Howard, i'm surprised that you can't see the beauty in the cold, gray, leafless days of winter.

Pull up a chair, let your mind go blank, and just look around you. The trees with no leaves, the beautiful gray blue sky, the birds flying, the clouds, the chrispness in the air. It is one of my favoriate times of the year. If you try, you can find beauty in all things.

Howard in reading your journal today I to felt like this when we lived in Pa. with the cold, ice, sleet, days without sunshine and upon moving to N.M. it lifted my spirts so much. My kids used to say the trees were like sticks there in the winter. I do think I am an outdoor person the sun just picks me up and now that we are full timing it the outdoors is my home, at least that is how I think of it.

Howard, nicely put! I do the same thing, but I call it "brainstorming". You're right, it IS an unusual kind of happiness. I'm sure there is some kind of biochemical explanation in terms of all that brain activity triggering the release of endogenous endorphins.

My suggestion: go with the flow and recognize that for every 10 ideas you come up with, you're going to have to let go of at least 9 of them. It doesn't matter. The point is the process, not the product.

Hi Howard, we agree with you the trees with no leaves and cloudy days. We had to return to Tennessee because Delaine's Mom is having some serious medical problems and is in the Hospital. We left Tn in Nov. and went to Mission Tx. Then a personal friend in Arizona has terminal Cancer and I wanted to see him so we left Mission for Arizona. Was in Casa Grande Sat. and arrive back in Tn on Sunday, broke all our rules about going only 250 miles, (1,675 total miles) a day and not driving after dark. However family is much more important. Its cold, cloudy and no leaves, but it will pass. GBY...

Isn't it wonderful to be in a situation where you can do what you did on a Wednesday!!!!
