Hi Howard and Linda,
We just also stayed at a Excapees in Benson,Az. which is supposed to be the "cream of the crop" of Excapees pks but would not live in one full time. We do belong to SKPS, but our big back window looking into another backside of a casita and another rv is just not for us. The full purpose of our back window is to view something in nature, woods, trees lakes or etc...the ppl how were wonderful in welcoming us while there.

Hi Howard and Linda, we just left the Woodlands, we have stayed there before. It's a new RV park not a lot of scenery to look at but it's clean and nice large concrete pads 50 amp service. It's located at exit 73 if your going South on I-45. Don't think you guys would like it, it's not like a State park. We don't use State parks. We stayed in Corpus Christe at GreyHound park never again we just barely got in there just a terrible park. We are in Mission Tx. in a 55+ park very nice. Kinda like a Resort Park. We will be here until April 07. Hope you got the e-mail about the cracked Alumium wheel, the replacement wheel is leaking also. GBY..

Ah.. but we have Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) on our side who is a Dish customer. He's fighting it in the Senate so jury is still out. By the way.. too bad about your CD player - I'm surprised as techy as you are that you don't have XM or SIRIUS for Truck & 5ver.

Hi Howard and Linda,
Don is anxious to hear about the CARE Center.....wants to know about the place that will be our final destination! :)

Hi Howard and Linda:

I didn't think that Rainbows End at Livingston would be your cup of tea. From reading your journal it didn't seem to be your kind of place. It has its own charms but just not down your alley. You are right about the people though. You couldn't find nicer folks or a warmer welcome.

Hey Y'all,
We visited the CARE Facility about 3 weeks or so ago, and Sandi (Administrative Asst) made it very clear that CARE Center WAS NOT the place for people to go to live out the end of their lives. This is the wrong impression people have and the good folks at CARE are trying to change peoples mindset on this issue. CARE is ONLY a temporary, to extended, recovery facility for whatever 'ails' you. If you are not able to make it into the CARE center, either on your own, or with the assistance of your significant other, then you'll have to leave CARE. They explained to us that CARE provided 3 squares a day, and activities for 'recovering' Escapees. It is not intended for terminal care. Bottom Line: A Recovery Facility - Not a Terminal Care Facility. A great facility, nonetheless!
