Howard, Since you got rid of "Karen" have you considered a Delorme GPS mouse for your laptop. I think you can get the mouse and the software in the 100 dollar range. It is fairly accurate and can also be used to plot a route without the GPS. I use it in my work and although it goofs up sometime it does great most of the time.

Jim,
With our internet connection we use Mapquest and we have Microsoft Streets & Trips along with several maps and we are able to get online directions to anywhere. We won't be purchasing anything else for in-truck navigation or anything else for routing for quite awhile. But thanks for the suggestion. :)

Very nice post. It looks beautiful there. Awesome trees...& everytime I read about you guys launching in a creek I talk to Larry about a Sea Eagle one more time! I really want one due to your comments & beautiful pictures...& Linda those campfire eyes are just perfect...looks like tons of fun to me! Thanks for sharing all your stops with us...we're takin' good notes!

Linda should read "One Man's Wilderness" by Sam Keith. It's about a man who lived in the Alaska wilderness by himself for years. Linda might enjoy it.
