Now you are in OUR part of the country. If you like Tuttle Creek, you would LOVE Milford. Be very careful. KState fans are really fanatic! Usually friendly, but very obnoxious about their school. We have finally had a few students attend KU from out here and they have been persecuted for that.

You are only about an hour from lots of my family. Our daughter lives in McPherson, which is east to Salina and south on the interstate to Wichita. She would take you to lunch if you are through there on a week day. My sister lives in Wichita and nieces and nephews and cousins are all over the area.

On the other hand, you are not far from us out here in the western part of the state. Don't know if you want to change plans or not, but we are going to a Boondockers Rendevous at Englewood, KS starting next Wednesday, Oct 3 and running to whenever. We will leave to come back home on Sunday, Oct 8 so we can get ready for our longer trip to the Grand Canyon. A couple of RVr's are coming home with us to spend a few days at the farm. You are welcome also! Let us know if you are interested and we will send you the particulars.

Enjoy Kansas!

Howard,
I went to a seminar once and took a class entitled "Quit Shoulding on Yourself". Maybe you can add that to your teaching list, but hats off to Linda for being able to drop the term, it is tough to do.

Happy Travels,
Dianne

Hey there Linda and Howard, we were just there at Tuttle Ck St pk in July for 11 days and the temps went to 102 deg a/c ran continually day and nite and even froze up at one point, glad you wont be there for that heat!! We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful pk also and I AGREE with you its the most confusing fees ever seen at a st. pk. If anyone wants to visit you they have to pay $7.00 everytime they come in which I DID not think was fair as my daughter and grandson would come to visit...then we got wise and had her pk her car outside the pk and we would go and get her.
We thought Milford Lake was the most beautiful however the crest of M.L. dam was built over an earthquake vault and they are drilling the area to find out more.

I don't think you are that far from New Horizons. My husband and I are wanting to visit. If you happen to go let us know what you think.

By all means ck out the New Horizons RV place as it is in Junction City, Ka. only about an hr if that from Tuttle Ck. Pk. We did and there is a RV pk right next to it and we just walked to the Horizons place across a field....loved it.

Hope you have a wonderful stay while in Kansas. Don't mix up Riley, KS (just due west of you) with Fort Riley (in Junction City).

Sheesh...$26.00 a night! Howard, that is darn near free compared to what marinas charge! When we were cruising the ICW marinas charged us around two bucks a foot and sometimes extra for water and electricity. For our 41' sailboat, when you added taxes, that was around a hundred bucks a night. I for one remain amazed at how cheap most of these campgrounds are in comparison. Count your blessings!
