What happened tot you plans to hike part of the appalation trail?

Howard will you be having a boon docking rally anytime soon??
Kathy - It's about time!

Greetings, hope everything works out smoothly for you both. As always, thank you sharing what is going on with the 5th wheel. I will be adding that to my inspection list of things to keep an eye on. Had a great time at the rally and looking forward to doing a reunion one. While you are there and time to do some site seeing, we went to Forbidden Caverns out towards Bush's bake beans. First time I have ever toured any caverns and it was GREAT. Parrot Mountain out behind Dollywood was another GREAT time if you like birds. Cades Cove out in the Smokey Mtn. National Park was a real nice drive through as well. Enjoy the journey, and be safe.

Jeanie,
The death of my father and all the accompanying administration threw off the timing, so I bagged that idea for now. We're going to sit here this summer a short drive away for a closing when my Dad's house sells, and I'm doing some writing until our Fall Rally.

Kathy,
We're working on our schedule, and it looks like a Boondocking Rally will be out west sometime around the last week of February (or first week of March) next year.

I wear a Fitbit and have found out that the counting of steps is off. I also found out that when shopping that if you are pushing the cart it will not register the steps because your arm is not moving.

I was a property and casualty insurance broker for 42 years. What your claim will probably come down to is whether the adjuster judges the damage to be the cause of 'wear and tear' (usually excluded), or sudden damage caused by a single incident such as hitting a pothole which caused the cracks (usually covered). I've seen these types of claims go either way.....hoping for the best outcome!

Clarke,
We appreciate the comment based on your professional opinion. That's pretty much what we are thinking - it could go either way. It seems it's leaning our way, but we're prepared to accept it if it doesn't.

Glad it's working out! We will also be at RVs For Less the day after Memorial Day for some repairs - very minor compared to yours.

Very few stay with a camper as long as y'all. That is our goal when the house sells.Hoping we buy a camper that with the proper care will last that many years. Maybe you will get good news. Enjoy your travels, Chuck and Donna

Fitbit works from an algorithm of movement not steps. It won't match. I have an Alta HR after my Flex died and I really love it. 10K steps is still a good number, even if it isn't really ALL steps!
