Glad you had a successful sale. The reason most Realtors say that is because you put more money into it then you will get back and you may fix things one way only to have a new owner tear it all out to fix their way.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

Wow! The yard sales I had before we sold and went on the road were the only time I saw any of my neighbors. Amazing the number of folks who work "the circuit" and showed up at every sale I had. And oh yes, the characters :-) Your veteran may be the winner there! I always found that painters were much more careful than flooring people and learned to get the floors done before the painting so I didn't have to touch up all the dings in the walls.

Howard: What an experience, and story to match!

Hi Howard, from my perspective It was certainly worth you writing the sale events down for posterity as it is one of those things where you could forget a lot of the smaller and interesting details in a very short time.

It was a very interesting story that captured the atmosphere for us followers perfectly.

Thanks, Downunda (Melbourne Australia)

Glad ya'll had a successful sale.

Whew! I'm exhausted just reading this. What a few days that must have been.

Really great post. It felt like I was there with you. So happy you had success and more importantly that most of the stuff was gone.

Whew! I am exhausted just reading this. This post brought back a flood of memories of when we sold off everything out of our house, most of which had come from my parents. There were a couple of folks who came to our sale each day, knowing we had held stuff back. One fellow bought all of my father's art glass paperweights...three or four each day. And one woman bought all of my cookbooks, all 175. She said she like to read them.
Congrats on a great sale!
