It was another beautiful day here in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. I've gotten back into my running routine, so I knocked that out first. It's 7/10 of a mile around the campground, so I do my two miles and then get on with the day.
We had some business to take care of this morning, and we went ahead and booked our 2017 Spring Rally back here again next year. It will be May 8 - 14, 2017.
We transferred packages and boxes to a back room at the convention center and met with the caterer.
The display RVs have all been brought in and are ready to be viewed on Monday when the Rally begins.
Linda defrosted the fridge and freezer and got that chore out of the way. The process is easier now that we have a small back-up fridge that we picked up last summer.
At 5:00, George & Valerie from RV-Driving School, picked us up and took us to dinner. We went to Corky's Ribs & BBQ as they have had such memorable experiences with the original restaurant in Memphis. We had a nice meal, but George & Valerie were a bit disappointed in the Pigeon Forge version of Corky's. Still, we were happy and enjoyed the conversation.
We made it back to our campsite just in time to get a campfire started and greet the Rally attendees that are here already. Everyone that was scheduled to be in today had arrived and we have a few more that came in early.
It was pretty warm for a campfire until it got dark, but the fire itself was just an excuse to get together. :)
We'll do the campfires this weekend for all the early arrivals as long as it doesn't rain.
We had some laughs and great stories and finally broke up around 10:30.
Off to another great start. :)
