What a beautiful tribute to your Mom, Howard. May your memories provide you comfort during this difficult time.

What a beautiful tribute to your wonderful mother! I lost my mom to cancer in 2013, and indeed, I'm sure they're both in a better more comfortable place now. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. May you find peace in the good memories. I think the poem you found in her papers is beautiful, and even though I don't know your Mom personally I think it shows just how much she loved you and her family and friends....always thinking of others. May God Bless You as you go forward.

What a lovely poem she left so perfectly for you Howard. How much you were loved and how much you will miss her. Me too. I miss my mom every single day. I am so sorry for your loss but happy her struggle is over. She was very proud of both you and Linda. Your lives clearly gave her joy. I am honored to say I met her. Rejoice in her life and love for you.

I've never posted on your blog before, but today I feel compelled to.

First of all, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family for your loss.

But as a Mom, I wanted to assure you that from what you've written about YOUR Mom, I'm pretty sure some of her other happiest times were seeing you grow up and become a man she both loves and is proud of…even now, and forever more until you meet again some day.

Her life was made even more beautiful and meaningful because of you.

Peace, healing light, and love to you and yours.

My 57th birthday. God Bless you all are in our thoughts and prayers!

I am deeply sorry for your profound loss. My Dad is currently in hospice through a nursing home. He has Alzheimers so he has been "lost" to us for awhile. I love the poem you posted and think I will use that at his service. Thank you to you and your Mom. Her legacy continues on.

Beautiful tribute. Sorry for your loss.

Her poem certainly leaves no doubt about her values and wishes for those left behind. Your tribute is lovely Howard, she will be forever with you. Her strength will hold you up, as yours has done for her for many years.

Yes, you are your mother's legacy. What a great job you have done, Howard, both in caring for your mom (and dad) and putting it all so beautifully into words. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Peace be with you all. Hugs!

Our prayers and thoughts are with you, Linda, your sister and her family, and all those close. Your tribute to her is beautiful. You made her very proud and will continue to.

Love the poem she left for you to find. Even at her death, she continues to guide you. Strength, Peace and Love to all the family!

Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you go thru the next few days. What a telling thing it is about your mother to keep that poem for y'all to find after her death. Jesus died for our sins so that we could spend eternity with our loved ones without walkers, canes, eyeglasses etc and to me that is what makes losses like this endurable, that we will meet again one day. Enjoy the celebration of her life and all the wonderful memories.

Our deepest condolences, Howard and Linda. I am happy we met your mom and shared some laughter. Thanks for the beautiful tribute.

Thoughts and prayers are with all of you. What a lovely memorial. Mom is now at peace and will always be with you and watching over you. Take Care

Howard and Linda

Those who have shown us love, brought us joy, and made us laugh have given us the lasting gifts of a beautiful life-and blessed our memories forever.

"Through Christ Our Comfort Overflows" II Cor 1:5
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our Love, Michele and Peg

Heartfelt condolances toward you and your whole family Howard. What a great poem and tribute to your mother. I hope you feel the peace and love of a wonderful life shared and the comfort of her joyfilled wishes for your future. You and Linda and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you.

Our hearts go out to you. Enjoy the wonderful memories you have of her. So glad she was in hospice care. My dad had hospice care at the end of his life. They make a person's last weeks dignified and peaceful. Take care Howard and Linda.

Thank you for sharing this tribute to your Mother and the perfect poem for all of us who have lost a loved one.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. We really enjoyed reading the poem your Mom wrote.

Meeting “Mom” at multiple Rally’s was such a treat. She and Sterling gathered attention and affection from everyone.

It was clear in speaking with her just how much she loved you and was so proud of all you had done and now all you were doing for so many people.

We will miss her very much at the Reunion Rally. There will always be a “site” for her in our hearts.

Thank you for sharing her life with us.

Bill and Linda

I'm sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathy. I'm so glad that she went peacefully. Remember, the love you have for your mother and the love she had for you was unconditional. You will always love her and she will always love you.

Nothing will every change that. Love the poem.

Jim and Linda

So sorry to hear about your loss. I'm glad you were able to spend this time with her the last few weeks. I'll keep you in my prayers.

SO SORRY HOWARD. THOUGHTS AND PRARYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GOD HAS ANOTHER ANGLE IN HEAVEN.

Wonderful poem, Howard. Bev and I are keeping you and Linda in our thoughts.

Love that poem, it says it all.
Our condolences...it seems so inadequate
Hugs Esther & Steve

We send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. Although the beautiful poem you found asks us to not shed tears, I cry each time I read it - for your loss and for the loss of my own loved ones. The memorial website you created for your mom is incredible and such a thoughtful way to honor her. Her life story is fascinating and the photos are wonderful. At this difficult time we hope your warm memories bring you comfort.

Howard, you mom was a truly special person to have raised the fine gentleman that you have become. As a mom myself, I am pretty sure her greatest joy was having you as her son. Bless you and your family. Our hearts are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom sounds like a wonderful, interesting person.

I'm very sorry for your loss Howard. It's so tough to loose your parents.

Your beautiful tribute to your mother is a testament to the woman she was. She obviously did a great job raising you and she will always be close and I'm sure her spirit will guide you the rest of your life.

Now you and Linda need to take some time for yourselves. You've been on an exhausting journey both physically and mentally. Be good to yourself....your Mom would insist on nothing less.

God Bless you and your family.

Howard, this is such a loving and lovely tribute to your mother. She must have been so proud of you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. We both are sorry for the loss of your mother and we both can totally empathize since we have lost our moms. I hope you can begin the healing process and in the days to come be able to remember all the wonderful things about her and times you had with her.

Oh Howard, how I have dreaded reading this news. My deepest condolences go out to you and your family. May God bless you all and give you peace.

Hugs and prayers. . .the poem is lovely.

Howard, I was hesitant to read any of your most recent post, fearing the worst. So very sorry for your loss. Your Mother was such a special person with such a cheerful personality and winning smile. She will now occupy the "site" just at the top of the hill, watching over her favorite campers. Her job is now finished leaving the reigns in your most capable hands, saying "carry on my son."

What a nice poem that is. You are fortunate to have been raised by such a wonderful mother.

What a lovely poem. So sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow.

May she rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss, Howard (& Linda). Praying for you & family.

Great poem, BTW! Rings so true!

Sorry for your loss. Hang in there.

Howard, your words in this sad time are very powerful, your Mother has heard everyone of them and she is very so proud of her son.

God bless in this time of heavy hearts.

Cardinal John

So very sorry for your loss Howard. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am truly sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mom sounds like a wonderful woman who had great dignity, and I'm sure she will be missed by all her family and friends.

Our condolences Howard. Very nicely done. Very sorry for your loss.

Thoughts and prayers are with all your family. What a beautiful tribute to your mother.

What a wonderful tribute to your mother, Howard. The poem is so fitting during this difficult time. Mothers hold their children's hands for just a little bit...but their hearts forever. Know that you will always be in hers....

Our condolences. Such a difficult time. Our thoughts are with you both.

So sorry for your loss Howard and Linda, it is always hard to say "goodbye" no matter the circumstance.
