Today was a work day. Linda did laundry and was a big help with our monthly financials.
One of the time consuming issues for the day was the wintry weather across the country. We're sitting down here south of Miami with sunny, mid-70s weather, but we're voluntarily leaving it all behind to fly to Boston for the Boston RV Expo.
Unfortunately, the predicted weather for our Wednesday flight was terrible. We called the airline early this morning to check on our options. Later in the day, the airline waived all its flight change fees, so we called back and tried to get a flight for Tuesday. No dice - all filled up.
Ultimately, we switched our flight to very early Thursday morning since it appeared the likelihood of our Wednesday flight being canceled was very high. Hopefully, the new flight will run on time and we'll be in Boston in plenty of time for our Thursday seminars.
In other news, the 2011 RV-Dreams Spring Rally is sold out. We have started a waiting list and you can get added to that by sending us a message using our Contact Form. We were thinking we would have about 150 people for that Rally, but we now have 175. :)
Also, the Pennsylvania RV & Camping Association called us today and let us know that they are providing FREE passes to America's Largest RV Show in Hershey, PA for those that attend our 2011 RV-Dreams Fall Rally. They are very pleased we're doing a rally in conjunction with the show and wanted to offer that little bonus for our guests. :)
So, it was mostly an administrative day for us. At one point, we thought we might have to fly out tonight, or fly out a day early tomorrow. So there was a slight panic 'cause we hadn't really prepared ourselves for that. :)
But now that we're flying out a day later than planned, a sense of calm came over us. And it's a good thing because, during the evening, Linda lost a crown on a tooth. Sheesh. Now, we have to find a dentist and get that taken care of in the next couple of days.
I keep repeating the old adage "Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape." :)
Good luck everyone with whatever weather issues you are dealing with!
