Well, we made it through the stormy weather without any problems, but rain was still promised most of the day.
Fine with us. We had planned a day of rest after all the scheduled events of Nature Quest.
Linda's biggest challenge was keeping the bird feeders filled. We had at least 10 hummers around all day.
And we haven't put up the hanging seed feeder because of the squirrels. Therefore, all the birds are coming to the window feeder. Even the ones that can't fit ... like this White-winged Dove.
It couldn't fit on the perches, but it tried. It kept sliding off the top of the feeder each time it moved.
Don't know what the deal was with our internet, but it has been working fine since mid-morning. We only had to spring for one day of Wi-Fi use.
Around 1:00 we went to Leakey to the post office - more Ho-Hummer feeders to ship - and to the grocery to pick up a few items.
We also decided to stay here through Thursday, so we paid our $14 Passport America rate for four more nights. Now, if only the weather will cooperate.
Back home in the afternoon, Linda and I both worked on responding to emails. Soon it was time for Linda's chicken enchiladas dinner, a little TV and off to bed.
The rainy resting day was just what we needed. :)
