I decided to just go ahead and do a separate entry for the month-end finacial report.
February 2006 Results
Campground Fees $437.56 ($15.63 per day) - Budget $750.00
SKP Resort all month at $13.00 per day plus .14 per kilowatt hour for electric - we use a lot of electricity.
RV Clubs $97.00 - Budget $37.00
Escapees renewal of $60 was budgeted in March, but was due March 1, so we paid it in February.
RV Insurance $0.00 - Budget $0.00
Propane $44.00 - Budget $30.00
Filled both of our 40 pound tanks. Used a little more propane for heat over the winter months than anticipated. But $44.00 since September is still pretty darn good.
Cell Phones $82.86 - Budget $81.00
Satellite Internet $0.00 - Budget $0.00
RV Taxes/Registration $0.00 - Budget $0.00
Satellite TV $0.00 - Budget $0.00
RV Maintenance $4.86 - Budget $50.00
Replace blown fuse - electric stabilizer jacks in rear - and purchase back-up fuses.
Diesel $203.10 - Budget $300.00
Only towed the rig 56 miles, but made several long area trips and drove the truck by itself another 921 miles for the month - still under our 1,000 mile per month threshhold. We paid about $2.50 a gallon on average in February - ouch!
Truck Maintenance $8.05 - Budget $35.00
Replace license plate light that had popped out.
Truck Insurance $0.00 - Budget $0.00
Truck Taxes/Registration $0.00 - Budget $0.00
Groceries & Dining Out $437.25 ($15.62 per day) - Budget $400.00
Valentine's Day dinner put us over, but it was worth it.
Laundry, Clothing, Hair Care $41.83 - Budget $50.00
Entertainment $409.36 ($14.62 per day) - Budget $200.00
Went overboard on golf at $230 since we knew we had cushion on the campground fees. Another $130 was spent building up craft supplies - the good news is we are almost in the black on the craft business. :)
Insurance - Life, Health, Etc. $0.00 - Budget $0.00
Miscellaneous $109.87 - Budget $100.00
Totals $1,875.74 ($66.99 per day) - Budget $2,033.00
So we were $157.26 UNDER budget for the month even with splurges on golf and the craft supplies expenses. We could have done better, but we are on our way to making up the $1,600 overage from January and we didn't feel deprived.
For a look at January and February together go to Our 2006 Actual Expenses. To see our budget click on Our 2006 Budget.
March is already looking good as we will be way under on campground fees - anyone taking bets that we will be over on golf and craft supplies again? :) Also, our truck insurance is due and it went DOWN 5% for the year! I had budgeted a 10% increase.
And though I make fun of Linda's craft purchases, she did have sales of about $400 in February. That along with another $200 in earnings from the website ads and affiliate relationships and being under budget on expenses made for a pretty good financial month for us. Thank you so much for all of your support!
